What do I need to get my website online?
For a website to go live, you need three basic pieces: a domain, hosting, and the website itself.
1. Domain
Your domain is your website address, like yourbusiness.com. I recommend buying this in your own name so you always own it and have full flexibility later. Domains usually cost around $10 per year through providers like GoDaddy or Namecheap.
2. Hosting
Hosting is what allows your website to be available when someone visits your domain. I offer hosting for $7/month, which includes basic updates and support. You are also welcome to use your own hosting provider if you prefer.
3. Website build
This is the actual design and build of your website. I keep the process simple and clear. After a small deposit, I begin building your site. The remaining balance is not invoiced until your website is live and you are happy with the final result.
How much does a website cost?
Every project is different, so pricing depends on the features and functionality your website needs to best serve your business. When I quote a project, I like to provide options ranging from simple to more advanced, so you can choose the level that makes the most sense for you.
To get started, I only collect a small deposit. The remaining balance is invoiced once you’re happy with your new website.
How long does it take to build a website?
Most websites are completed within 1–2 weeks. The timeline depends on how quickly I receive your content (text, photos, etc.), but I keep the process simple and move quickly.
Will my website work on mobile devices?
Yes! Every site I build is fully responsive, meaning it looks and works great on phones, tablets, and desktops.
Do you help with domains and hosting?
Yes. I can guide you through purchasing a domain in your name and handle hosting for you if you’d like. Hosting is required for any website, and I offer a simple monthly option that includes support.
Can I update the website myself?
Absolutely. I build sites that are easy to update, and I can show you how to make basic changes like editing text or images. If you’d rather not deal with it, I also offer ongoing support.
